What first appeared as a detail in the background of the landscape from a production image taken around the Turkey-Armenia border has been brought closer by isolating and enlarging it. Intended to make the detail depicting the majestic Mount Ararat clearer, this gesture only makes it vanish even further. As such the medium seems to fail to live up to the expectations of the viewer and to answer an unfulfilled longing, leaving only a vast field of monochromatic color. By approaching the print in an attempt to distinguish any detail, the image disappears even more.
