What first appeared as a detail in the background of the landscape from a production image taken around the Turkey-Armenia border has been brought closer by isolating and enlarging it. Intended to make the detail depicting the majestic Mount Ararat clearer, this gesture only makes it vanish even further. As such the medium seems to fail to live up to the expectations of the viewer nor to answer an unfulfilled longing; a longing so symbolic to the tragic historically dictaded relation the Armenians have with this mountain. Instead it's leaving only a vast field of monochromatic color.
