| 'gaze'
is an ongoing series of videos on the edge between moving and still images.
A steady shot is looking out on a sublime landscape. The origin and content of the image, the actual reality, the 'truth' and the story behind it are unclear and left open. While the sound is suggesting a bigger whole, outside the visual frame, the spectator is being directed to the act of watching itself, liberated from any conditioning and fragmentation to which he generally is subjected. Nothing seems to change or move, though it does in a slow, monotonous and repetitive way. Sometimes only sporadicly. |
